Coursework
Strategic Communication Tactics
During my final semester of college (spring of 2024), I took an eight-week Strategic Communication Tactics course. Each week highlighted a method of communication that professionals use to help organizations project, maintain, and improve their public image. At the beginning of the semester, we selected a sports organization and applied each week’s tactic as if we were part of their communication team.
This portfolio served as my final project, an instructor-assigned collection of every assignment I completed. My chosen organization was U.S. Figure Skating.
Beginning/Intermediate Photography
Earth’s Fate, According to AI
Completed in May of 2023
This photography project served as my final for Intermediate Photography. I wanted to translate scientific claims about the effects of climate change into a more comprehensible visual form using the predictive capabilities of AI (Midjourney). I’ve always thought that if I could see the long-term damage climate change can cause, I would become a little more aware of my environmental impact.
I focused on what Colorado Springs looked like in the past, what it looks like now, and what it might look like if climate change keeps progressing.
All the modern photos were taken with a Canon Rebel T7. The historic images came from the Library of Congress. All of the images were edited and assembled via Photoshop. The final physical pieces were printed on Hahnemuhle Metallic Photo Paper, 8.5 x 11.
