Raven Sanchez is a writer and editor from Colorado Springs. She graduated from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in May of 2024 with a B.A. in Strategic Communication.

She served as the Managing Editor for her school’s newspaper and volunteered as a peer reviewer for the university’s undergraduate research journal. In 2020, she worked for a Denver nonprofit called SE2, where she created digital content for a full year that focused on helping youth navigate the world around them.

After graduating, she launched her blog “38th State Spotlights,” where she posts profile-style entries twice a month. Her blog highlights people, places, events, and businesses across the state of Colorado.
