Since 2021, Denver Trivia League has hosted free and inclusive trivia events that support local businesses and nonprofits in the Denver community.
In an email interview, Julio Trujillo, the owner of Denver Trivia League, said the small business organizes themed trivia and bingo nights that aid local endeavors; he noted that the company was created to help bars and restaurants host more community-centered events.
"We basically started this business at the end of the pandemic when all the bars and restaurants were closed, and we thought it would be a good time to present a more locally focused and affordable trivia night for bars as they were reopening from the pandemic,” Trujillo said.
According to the business’s Instagram page, Denver Trivia League strives to create events everyone can enjoy and connect with.
“Our trivia is pretty popular, and we have also done some themed quizzes that are especially popular. We just did a great Pixar Trivia Night before Thanksgiving, and it was so cool to see families come together and play trivia together,” Trujillo said.
Denver Trivia League also hosts private events; those interested in booking one can fill out the interest form on the Denver Trivia League website.

Denver Trivia League hosts 20 events every week, including private events; they also encourage their supporters and event attendees to help them give back to the local organizations.
According to Trujillo, Denver Trivia League has a fundraiser every month for a local nonprofit. He mentioned that they have raised money for nonprofits like the ACLU of Colorado, Denver Food Rescue and the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition.
Denver Trivia League’s last fundraiser was for Food Bank of the Rockies, a nonprofit Trujillo works with in his own time.
“There are so many people in Denver that have food insecurity, and especially during the holiday season, I really do want to make sure as many families as possible can have the healthy food they need. I do some volunteer work with the Food Bank as well, and I know that with cash donations they can really provide, like, a grocery store, including fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and everything else a family might need,” Trujillo said.
According to an end-of-year social media post, Denver Trivia League raised almost $3,000 in player donations for local nonprofits last year. Their website notes that local nonprofits interested in raising funds through Denver Trivia League can contact them for more information.
Trujillo also invites local venues to contact Denver Trivia League if they would like to host any events.
"[I also] would love to talk to any venues looking to start their own weekly trivia or music bingo to bring in paying customers on slower nights. Part of our community focus is that we offer very competitive prices for our events, as low as $125 per event so we can be a good option for those smaller or less busy venues that still want to have some fun weekly events,” he said.
More information on Denver Trivia League’s events can be found on their Instagram and Facebook pages.
